LINCOLN, Neb. — Following debate and final passage of LB258, the Nebraska Unicameral moved through routine floor business, advancing and passing several bills on Feb. 5, 2026.
The clerk read bills on final reading and the members voted on each. Among bills that passed were LB60 (changes to state lottery sales and vending-device language), LB207 (motor vehicle penalties and certain alternative-fuel registration/fees), LB212 (remote retail sales and packaged products tax licensing), LB384 (property tax/code cleanup) and LB518 (corrections and reentry reporting). Several measures passed by wide margins or unanimous recorded votes.
The body also adopted E & R (engrossing and revisor) amendments and floor amendments where noted, and the clerk entered items for the record including committee notices and priority motions. The president signed the enrolled bills into the record and the chamber adjourned until 9:00 a.m. the next session day.
Floor leaders announced committee executive sessions and recognition of visitors in the galleries during the day. The session concluded with a motion to adjourn that carried.
