The Colony council certifies special election returns for seven charter amendments

The Colony City Council read certified returns from the Nov. 4, 2025, special election on seven proposed Home Rule Charter amendments and voted to approve an ordinance canvassing and declaring the results.

During the meeting staff read vote totals for each proposition, including the counts called on the record: Proposition 1 (3,686 yes; 575 no), Proposition 2 (2,497 yes; 1,709 no), Proposition 3 (2,169 yes; 2,128 no), Proposition 4 (2,796 yes; 1,503 no), Proposition 5 (2,409 yes; 1,745 no), Proposition 6 (1,179 yes; 3,046 no), and Proposition 7 (3,849 yes; 1,896 no). After reading the certified returns, Councilmember Densweiler moved to approve the ordinance canvassing the returns and Councilmember Marks seconded; council then voted and the motion passed.

The council did not record individual roll-call tallies in the transcript; the packet and the ordinance were noted as sufficient for certification.
