The Colony City Council recognized employees from Fritz Adventure Park at its Jan. 6 meeting for life‑saving actions at the park on Oct. 27, 2025.
Council members named Max Duvall, Jared Liske and Jay Pena (Fritz Adventure Park staff) and acknowledged EMS personnel who responded, saying the crew removed the unresponsive 43‑year‑old from a ropes course, initiated CPR and used an automated external defibrillator until emergency medical services assumed care. The council presented certificates on behalf of the county and fire department.
Representatives from the receiving hospital, Texas Health Plano, including Dr. Javier Chow, praised the prompt actions. “I have no doubt that the patient had a good outcome because of the very quick early actions of our crew from Fritz’s as well as the subsequent resuscitation by the EMS crew,” Dr. Chow said, and he urged community members to take CPR courses.
City officials thanked the responders and noted the event as an example of how community training and readiness can save lives. No formal council action was required; the recognition was ceremonial.
