DNRC litigation update: mandamus action American Prairie v. DNRC and Amanda Castor noted; KLH Advisors handling many cases

The Land Board received a quarterly litigation update from DNRC litigation counsel Brian Bramlett.
Bramlett told the board the report follows the format used over the past two years. He identified the only new litigation item in the report as American Prairie v. DNRC and Amanda Castor, described as a mandamus action in the First Judicial District, and noted the case is moving toward a mandamus hearing in February. Bramlett recommended executive session for additional detail, given the pending hearing. He also said KLH Advisors, an outside counsel retained by the board, is appearing in many of the cases and has begun to take on matters previously handled by DNRC counsel; Bramlett will continue to provide recommendations regarding objections and litigation strategy as needed.
No follow‑up questions were raised in the meeting and the board thanked Bramlett for the update.
