The board moved on Jan. 22 to appoint directors and public members to an ad hoc South Gosling Tract Public Golf Committee as staff prepares to review responsive proposals to an imminent RFP.
Parks staff said the RFP submission deadline is due imminently and that internal review will follow; the ad hoc committee is intended to act as a vetting group — asking clarifying questions about proposals’ operational models, financial assumptions and long-term implications — before staff makes a recommendation to the full board. Appointees include both directors and named public representatives who participated in committee deliberations.
Staff said it will aim to brief the full board in February, with final recommendations depending on proposal content and any need for third-party consultant review. The board affirmed appointments and the committee charter extension to allow the group to vet proposals and advise the board.
