At its Jan. 12 meeting, the Brentwood City Commission unanimously approved a slate of consent items and filled a vacancy on the Board of Zoning Appeals.
The consent agenda included multiple resolutions and approvals: an amendment to the FY2026 general employees classification and pay plan; authorization to use a competitive sealed proposal process for consultant services to update the Brentwood 2030 plan; adoption of a cybersecurity policy; authorization to expend Holt Trust funds for interior improvements at the John P. Holt Brentwood Library; agreements for annual sewer pipeline inspection and cleaning; approval for the 2026 annual employee recognition dinner contract; vehicle graphics and painting services for police vehicles; and approval to purchase fiber and replacement materials.
Commissioner Pippen moved to approve the consent agenda and Commissioner Donahue seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
On the Board of Zoning Appeals appointment, commissioner ballots were read aloud: Commissioners Pippen, Travis, Vice Mayor Little, Dunn and Donahue and Mayor Andrews voted for Debbie Sheridan; Commissioner Garris voted for Christopher Rose. Debbie Sheridan received six votes and was selected. City staff will contact the candidates.
What happens next: Staff will notify the selected candidate and process the appointment; Planning and legal staff will administratively update rosters as needed.
