The Fairview Board approved a first-reading resolution Tuesday to call a public hearing on an owner-consent annexation of about 5.38 acres at 7320 Northwest Highway.
Planning staff said the parcel is surrounded by the existing development formerly known as Woodwick (now referred to by staff as Orangeshire) and that the annexation has a positive recommendation from the planning commission. Allison Corolla of T Square Engineering told the board the annexation will be followed by a rezoning request to align the property with adjacent phases, and that consolidation with existing phase‑1 acreage could result in approximately 14 residential lots if approved.
The first-reading vote establishes a public hearing and begins the municipal process; final zoning and subdivision approvals would follow the public‑hearing and planning‑commission review process.
