Summary
The Oklahoma City Economic Development Trust approved consent items including minutes, claims ratification, minor TIF plan language clarifying museum eligibility, a film office contract extension to June 30, 2026, and a $70,000 increase to Sasaki’s downtown plan contract; general manager noted TIF 2 debt will be paid off in August.
At its Jan. 27 meeting the Oklahoma City Economic Development Trust approved routine consent and administrative items as presented.
The board approved minutes from its Dec. 16, 2025 meeting and ratified claims for December 2025. Trustees approved a minor amendment to the downtown TIF project plan that clarifies a nonprofit museum may be an eligible use — an amendment staff said was administrative and intended to enable the later museum allocation. The board also approved an amendment extending the term of a professional services agreement for the Film & Creative Industries office to June 30, 2026, with no increase in funds.
Trustees approved amendment No. 1 to the Sasaki Incorporated contract, increasing the scope by $70,000 to add a hotel‑market analysis (Hunden Partners) for the downtown strategic development plan; staff said the cost is funded 50/50 by the Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Alliance optional services portion.
During the general manager’s report, Miss McSpadden pointed trustees to the TIF 2 debt schedule in the staff report and noted the district is scheduled to pay off in August. The meeting closed after an unscheduled public comment from Dennis Pruitt of the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce commending the board’s actions.
