Planning commission opens meeting, receives minutes and clears multiple continuances

The Oklahoma City Planning Commission opened its session with housekeeping instructions and procedures for public comment before addressing routine business. The commission voted to receive the minutes from the Jan. 15, 2026 meeting and then handled several continuance requests and agenda housekeeping items.
The chair read standard public-comment procedures and asked speakers to submit sign-up forms to Elena and to state their name and address at the podium. "Please come up and give your name and address for the record, and you'll have up to 5 minutes to speak," the chair said.
Staff read a batch of uncontested continuance requests for several cases and the commission voted to grant them. The commission then approved new deferral requests that included items deferred to Feb. 12 and Feb. 26; Commissioner Noble made the motion to approve the new requests, and Commissioner Powers seconded.
Item SPUD-17-94 (544 Southeast 14th Street) was not represented by an applicant; Commissioner Harrison moved to continue that item to the Feb. 12 meeting so concerns could be heard in the applicant’s presence. Commissioner Powers seconded and the continuance was approved.
With no items on the consent docket and no citizens signed up to speak during the final call for public comment, the chair adjourned the meeting.
