The Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority on Jan. 9 approved a slate of items by voice vote, including an independent pension committee appointment and multiple contract amendments.
Appointment: the board approved adding Wiley Williams to the Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority Pension Plan Committee to fill the independent position. Staff described Williams as a former city councilor; a trustee spoke in support and the motion carried.
Contracts and change orders: the board approved Amendment No. 3 with HMS Ferries to provide operation and maintenance services for Oklahoma River Cruises retroactive to July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2030 with an estimated annual cost of $953,039.88; staff said the amendment aligns the contract with the fiscal year and adds service to the First Americans Museum Landing. The board also approved Amendment No. 1 with Peak Media LLC to extend media-buying services through June 30, 2026 and align the contract with the fiscal year.
Construction change order: the board approved Change Order No. 4 and Amendment No. 2 with Kade Construction for administration building renovations, reporting a $51,267.52 cost increase and describing items including an exterior lighting circuit (~$55,500), exterior door replacements (~$13,000) and roof-penetration repairs (~$10,000). Staff said phase 1 is expected to wrap around mid-February.
Financial ratification: trustees moved and approved ratification of claims and payroll covering Nov. 19, 2025 through Dec. 23, 2025.
