Lindon — The Lindon City Council approved routine business Monday, including the minutes from its Dec. 1 meeting and a consent agenda that carries forward merit increases already approved in the annual budget.
Council members reported on recent events: a youth council tour of the city planning offices and a planned youth-legislature day on Jan. 21, 2026; a senior center Christmas luncheon; and Lindon’s hosting of state outdoor recreation grant staff, who presented new grant categories for parks and recreation.
Administrator Cowie noted administrative items for the council’s Jan. 5 meeting, which will include an oath of office and swearing-in for newly elected officials and a final review of park master plan proposals for three parks, including a Thornton Park Land and Water Conservation Fund grant that staff are pursuing. Cowie also said the finance division expects to present the annual audit in late January.
The council approved the Dec. 1, 2025 minutes without changes, and the consent agenda — which included merit increases budgeted in June — was approved by voice vote. No substantive public comment was recorded during the open session.
