Speaker 1 outlined the personnel items included in the packet: retirement/resignation of Diane Simmons, Child Nutrition Program staff assigned to McBride Middle School, effective Feb. 27; employment of Anna Wallace as a school nurse at the Early Learning Center effective Jan. 19; part‑time or supplemental assignments for Angela Ferguson and Laura Owenby at Webster to provide homebound services; Samantha Goodwin and Lydia James added to band staff for the 2025–26 school year; Jackson Hallmark added to the systemwide extended‑day program; Kelly Holder assigned additional hours as a part‑time nurse at the Early Learning Center; and Presley Rhodes assigned to provide homebound services at the middle school.
Speaker 1 also corrected the start date for Kelly Morrow, the new coordinator for the extended‑day program, changing it from Jan. 5 to Jan. 2. Regarding a previously approved mentoring staff position for Danielle Hillman, Speaker 1 said the state would not fund that post because the teacher being mentored did not have a qualifying certificate; Hillman will receive local funding instead. The personnel report also included an information‑only medical leave request for an employee at Muscle Shoals Middle School.
The personnel report was moved and seconded and approved by the board without discussion.
