RTC says Northeast Connector study completed; public comment period extended into March

Brian Burn, project manager at the Regional Transportation Commission, briefed the Spanish Springs Citizens Advisory Board on the Northeast Connector feasibility study, saying the study was completed near the end of last year and that public engagement will continue. The public comment period has been extended from Jan. 16 into early March, and the RTC is targeting an additional public meeting in early March to gather further comments; a flyer and QR code linking to the project website and an online comment form were provided to attendees.
Burn said the RTC is working on a venue and timing and encouraged residents to use the QR code to access materials and the public-comment form. No county decision or funding vote on the project was recorded during the CAB meeting.
