Summary
Chair Reggie Van Lee presented a governance roadmap for the CAH strategic plan (FY26–FY29), requested volunteers for the governance committee, and outlined milestone meetings and an expected approval target of September 2026.
The commission outlined the timeline and participation expectations for its FY26–FY29 strategic plan during the Jan. 26 meeting.
Chair Reggie Van Lee said the governance committee will oversee development of the strategic plan in partnership with staff and vendor Opportunity Consulting. He asked for volunteers and described commitments for committee members: three 90-minute meetings at key junctures, additional time for reviewing drafts and approximately 10–15 volunteer hours over the planning cycle.
Van Lee said specific dates will be finalized by March 2 and listed planning milestones: a SWOT review in the week of April 2, a strategic design session the week of May 11, a draft review the week of June 29, and a target to complete and approve the strategic plan by September 2026. He emphasized that governance committee meetings will not include votes or binding decisions; any recommendations will be reported to the full commission at a public meeting.
Commissioners were invited to participate, with the governance committee limited to fewer than seven commissioners per meeting to comply with bylaws and transparency rules. The commission set its next full public meeting for Feb. 23, 2026.
