Council members asked about minimum compatibility standards and safety; Ty said the ordinance expansion is intended to accept other compatible products that meet the city’s meter-compatibility and safety expectations.
A councilmember moved to approve Resolution 26-02 and the motion was seconded; the mayor declared the voice vote unanimous. Ty noted the device simplifies installation compared with separate manual transfer panels and provides automatic load balancing for the homeowner’s generator or battery system.
