District, foundations and clubs present donations and recognize student teams and staff

The Brea Education Foundation presented a $500 check to Scott Johnson in recognition of junior high robotics (SEG 402–406, SEG 414–418). Representatives from the Rotary and Lions Clubs described recent fundraising—Rotary said a recent golf tournament raised funds to support the Mayor’s Cup and other community initiatives (SEG 463–475, SEG 495–507). The Wonderful Company was listed as donating $2,500 to a program supporting Los Niños (SEG 2017–2025).
The board and audience honored the boys’ football team and presented a plaque to head coach Justin Villasenor and assistant coaches for a notable season; the coach highlighted community service projects and the contribution of 26 seniors to the team's success (SEG 582–656).
PTO council auditor Kendra Gross Tapia reported robust fundraising across sites: Country Hills’ jogathon raised over $60,000; AeroVista membership fees were roughly $3,000; Laurel membership dues totaled about $2,500; and many schools plan winter book fairs and family movie nights (SEG 720–737, SEG 734–752).
Board members and administrators thanked volunteers and community partners, and encouraged families to participate in upcoming events and oversight opportunities for Measure H implementation (SEG 2420–2430).
