Monroe County Friends of Animals gives update on new shelter; grand opening targeted for August

Miss Cheryl asked for help from anyone with connections who could assist in obtaining that certificate and said the group is "targeting a grand opening in August," while noting she would offer a month rather than a firm date.
Commissioners thanked her for the update and expressed excitement that animals would no longer be subject to extreme weather conditions while the facility is prepared for opening.
