Bolton students honored for regional music festivals; cast previews Spongebob musical

The Bolton Board of Education recognized 14 students chosen for Connecticut regional music festivals and heard a preview from a portion of the upcoming school production of the Spongebob musical.
A music program presenter listed the students selected for the Eastern Region and Elementary Honors festivals and asked them to assemble for a photo. "Please join me in congratulating them," the presenter said as names and instruments were read.
Teacher and production staff member Jen Carvallo introduced the cast preview and said the production is nearly complete. "I'm Jen Carvallo," she said, adding that "tickets are currently on sale. Boltonhigh.com/tickets. $5 students, $10 adults, and the show is February at 7PM next door in student commons." The production will use a live music element for some numbers, and Carvallo thanked staff who will be part of that accompaniment.
The recognitions and preview were presented at the start of the meeting; the board took a moment to congratulate the students before moving on to business.
