Planning commission approves amended elevations for Copper View Plaza Building 7

The Herriman Planning Commission voted to approve an amended elevation and landscaping plan for Building 7 at Copper View Plaza.
Staff presented the amendment and said all zoning and engineering standards were met and asked that a parking study be updated if future tenant improvements change uses. Aaron Osman of the Copperview Plaza Group told the commission that the developer had considered a two-story event center but could not find a tenant and therefore returned with a one-story plan consistent with the rest of the complex. "We tried for a full year to find a tenant…we were quite disappointed about that," Osman said.
Staff described the proposed building as generally 20 feet tall with architectural peaks up to 24 feet, and showed elevations and landscaping intended to match the existing site. Commissioners had no substantive objections during the brief discussion and moved to approve. The motion (made by Heather and seconded by Brody) passed on a roll-call 'yes.'
The item concluded with staff noting that an updated parking study would be requested for future tenant changes and that the approvals listed in the staff packet have been met.
