Saco council adopts one-year EV charging pilot, directs fee schedule update

The pilot period runs from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, according to the motion.
Onan said the committee reviewed policy options over several months and by consensus recommended the policy language included in the meeting packet. The council had no recorded debate on the motion and approved it on a 6–0 roll-call vote.
Next steps include staff preparing fee proposals for council review during the FY2027 budget process and monitoring pilot operations through the one-year period.
