Wheat Ridge proclaims Black History Month; local IBEW Minority Caucus urges action beyond ceremony

Walton said Black history is "under an active attack" in some places and urged the council to work with the city's Race and Equity Task Force and the IDEA Committee to translate proclamations into lasting change. Councilors thanked the IBEW visitors and several said they expect continued work with task force and staff to follow through on the proclamation’s intent.
