Board praises LCTC CTE report; enrollment and credentialing tick up

The center reported about 606 students currently enrolled; although high‑school enrollment districtwide was down, LCTC senior participation had increased to 51% (up about 13 percentage points from the prior year). The center tallied 260 industry‑recognized credentials earned and said roughly half of students transition directly to the workforce, with about 18% going to four‑year colleges and about 25% to two‑year colleges.
Officials emphasized work‑based learning—more than 100 students were participating in employer internships or placements—and noted partnerships with local businesses and events such as SkillsUSA supported stronger outcomes. Board members thanked staff and encouraged continued employer engagement; no board action was required.
