Residents object to Xcel Murray Yard TUP notification; board grants continuance to Feb. 17

Residents argued they were not contacted despite having ownership or use interests in Cherubar Road, and said truck trip counts and other impacts in the TUP application were inaccurate in their view.
The board heard the request for a continuance, and commissioners asked Xcel to use the interval to meet directly with the affected property owners to try to resolve outstanding notification and access issues. The board made a motion to continue the hearing to Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 1:00 p.m., which passed unanimously, and directed Xcel to engage property owners and the homeowners association and return with any agreed changes or clarifications.
The continuance preserves public participation: residents who want the hearing to proceed should expect a follow-up notice; those who prefer settlement discussions asked Xcel to arrange direct meetings promptly. The board noted that if discussions do not produce agreement, the hearing record will reopen on Feb. 17 and all public testimony will be considered.
