Commissioners also approved intergovernmental agreements extending Garfield County’s provision of child‑support services to Pitkin County for $49,500 and to Rio Blanco County for $66,500 for the 2026 term. The Board discussed differences in case volume and population as likely drivers of the varying contract amounts. A clerical signature correction on the Rio Blanco agreement’s signature page was requested and accommodated prior to finalization.
All three agreements were approved by motion and voice vote; staff noted they will return with any required budget amendments if service costs exceed current allocations.
