Taxiway Alpha largely complete; fuel-farm work paused until spring as tanks finish manufacturing

The fuel-farm project experienced a late permitting window and then winter weather; the contractor (American Environmental Aviation, based in Florida) paused on-site work and the manager said tanks are still in manufacturing and not likely to arrive until March. Xcel Energy is scheduled to install the power pole and transformers next week to complete the electrical connection for the fuel farm. The manager said the team will keep current fueling operations active until the new system is commissioned and will follow regulatory guidance on decommissioning or disposing of existing tanks.
The meeting included discussion about potential ways to decommission the old tanks (fill with sand versus removal), and the manager said the final approach will follow state and public-safety requirements.
