Supervisors adopt two proclamations, appoint Citizens Budget Advisory Committee and enter closed session

During the May 12 meeting the King William County Board of Supervisors approved two proclamations and completed several administrative actions.
The board read and adopted a resolution declaring May 11–17, 2025 Police Week in King William County and then invited Sheriff Lumpkin and law-enforcement personnel to the front for a photo. Shortly after, the board adopted Resolution 25-16 proclaiming May 4–10, 2025 Public Service Recognition Week and invited staff to join the presentation.
Later in the agenda the board convened a closed session under a cited Virginia statute to consider appointments to boards and commissions. After reconvening the board certified the closed session and announced selections for the Citizens Budget Advisory Committee: Joshua Ney, Chris Couch and Tim Vaughn; the board also designated Mary Sue Bancroft to serve on the committee as the board's representative.
