The Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors moved to table consideration of Bridgepoint Commons until staff completes a review of the developer’s most recent submittal and returns with a recommendation. A supervisor moved to table the matter "until such time as staff’s able to review the most recent submittal from the developer and bring back the recommendation to the board." The motion was seconded and then carried on a roll-call vote.
During discussion, staff and supervisors noted the project had been previously tabled and that the applicant recently provided a revised submission that needs staff analysis to determine whether changes are significant enough to require Planning Commission review or whether the board can act directly. The county attorney had earlier advised the board on procedural requirements tied to prior actions.
The roll call recorded the following affirmative votes as spoken during the meeting: "Miss Kate," "Mister Acree?" (affirmative), "Miss Rountree," "Mister Gardner," "Mister Ealy," and "Chairman Jefferson." The board did not reach a final determination on the project; staff will review the new submittal and return with a recommendation.
