San Antonio — City Council voted to approve a plan amendment and rezoning at 1416 West Hildebrand Avenue (items 9 and 10) on Jan. 15 after brief public comment.
Staff presented the proposal and said their recommendation was denial while the planning commission suggested a community commercial alternate and the zoning commission recommended approval; 36 notices were mailed with one returned in favor and one in opposition. Applicant Majid Meirav said the site had operated as a restaurant for 14 years and requested C3 zoning to operate an antiques and vintage motorcycle business, noting limited parking and an agreement to C3NA conditions if required. Opponent Jack M. Finger warned that C3 allows more intense commercial uses that could be incompatible with nearby residences.
Councilmember Kaur moved to approve items 9 and 10 and the motion passed on a voice vote. Staff will proceed with the usual permitting and administrative follow‑up.
