Resident Keith Larson spoke in support during public comment: "It makes sense," he said, adding consistent lighting and modern LED technology improve safety and appearance in commercial areas.
A commissioner moved to recommend approval of the text amendment to section 731.2 and the motion was seconded; the commission approved the recommendation by voice vote. The recommendation will be forwarded to city council for final action.
