Staff said the city received three proposals, ranked them using a selection committee, and identified Pond and Company as the top‑ranked firm. As part of the grant structure, staff said the Atlanta Regional Commission will fund 80% of the total project cost and the city is responsible for a 20% local match. (Staff and the mayor cited different grant figures during the meeting: planning staff referenced a $200,000 award while the mayor later referred to a $160,000 figure and a $40,000 local match.)
A representative from Pond and Company, Lillian Al Haddad, introduced herself as senior project manager and urban design lead and said her team looked forward to working on the corridor study.
Council confirmed consent for the LCI resolution and related items; staff will proceed with contracting steps consistent with the grant and the selection committee’s recommendation.
