Kennesaw planning commission elects chair and vice chair, approves Dec. 3 minutes
Summary
Commissioners elected Trey Bodenhamer as chair and Vande Zandy as vice chair for the year, approved the Dec. 3, 2025 meeting minutes unanimously, and staff previewed a five-item February agenda including three rezonings.
After reconvening because of an initial lack of quorum, the Kennesaw Planning Commission held its required officer elections for the year. A commissioner nominated Trey Bodenhamer for chair; Bodenhamer accepted the nomination. Commissioners then nominated and confirmed Vande Zandy as vice chair.
The commission then moved to routine business. Commissioner Van Zandie moved to approve the minutes from the Dec. 3, 2025 meeting; Commissioner Patterson seconded. The commission approved the minutes unanimously.
Staff congratulated the officers and reiterated that the planning commission serves in an advisory role to the mayor and council. Staff also reminded attendees that in-person meetings are in the City Hall Council Chambers and that remote access is available through the city's public meetings web page. Staff previewed the February planning commission agenda, saying it will include five items, three of which are rezonings, and asked that commissioners ensure attendance so cases can proceed to mayor and council for final action.
The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn.
