Votes at a glance: Kennesaw approves consent agenda, alcohol license, and accepts crime stats

Several routine matters were approved unanimously by the Kennesaw City Council at the Dec. 15 meeting.

The council approved a five-item consent agenda (vote recorded 5-0). The items were taken as a group; the agenda text was not read into the record during the meeting.

Separately, the council approved a retail alcohol license for Worth the Wait Incorporated doing business as Big Pie in the Sky Pizzeria at 2090 Baker Road, Unit A103. Staff, represented by the assistant director of administration covering the business license manager's duties, said the applicants completed the required alcohol workshop and that the application had been properly advertised; a distance survey showed the business lies within 300 feet of a private residence but met other ordinance requirements. The council approved the license by unanimous vote (5-0).

The police chief presented November 2025 crime statistics and the council voted to accept the report. The chief said aggravated assault decreased by 6 incidents from the prior year, narcotics offenses increased by 5 to 40, intimidation increased by 6 to 10, and total incidents were down from 136 last year to 124 this year. The council accepted the report 5-0.
