Commission approves two right-of-way and alley abandonments

The commission approved the request subject to standard conditions including payment for the abandoned right-of-way, recording an absorbing plat, and executing a quitclaim deed.
The second abandonment (ROW 2503528, 528 Beck Street) concerns an unused alley segment already functioning as private yard; staff reported no city services are located in the alleyway and recommended approval conditioned on purchase of the abandoned area, recording a replat and providing a quitclaim deed. The commission moved, seconded and approved both abandonments by voice votes.
Each approval carries standard administrative follow-up: the applicant must remit payment for abandoned right-of-way, record a plat absorbing the abandoned area and provide quitclaim documents before deeds can be finalized.
