Staff updated the board on the River Parks master plan request for qualifications, saying the RFQ deadline was extended to Sept. 11 to accommodate submitters. Submissions will be reviewed online via Bonfire and the review committee will score them; staff hopes to identify three to four firms to invite for presentations on Sept. 25.
The timeline calls for the board’s recommendation to go to city council in October and for services to begin in November. Staff estimated the master-plan development process will take roughly a year once a firm is selected.
Board members were reminded that the selection committee had already been chosen (Heather Hegwood was named earlier) and staff said an addendum was issued to answer submitter questions and allow extra time to apply.
