The council approved Z2025‑068, allowing a recording studio at a 0.92‑acre downtown parcel (206 E. Washington St.). Staff explained a music studio was a permitted use in the downtown district but that a recording studio requires an SUP; the applicant said interior changes will be minor and that the use continues the property’s prior function. Planning & Zoning recommended approval 6‑0; staff mailed 134 notices and recorded one support response. Council moved and approved the SUP unanimously; the ordinance includes standard operational conditions and penalty language.
