The New Kent County Board of Supervisors on Feb. 9 authorized the county administrator to close on a previously budgeted purchase of approximately 6.2 acres (tax parcel Three‑one) intended for a surface water intake site on the Pamunkey River.
County staff said funding was appropriated in the current fiscal year and that closing documents provided by the seller required a resolution authorizing the transaction. The county attorney reviewed the documents and staff were prepared to close the following day.
Supervisor Moyer moved to approve Resolution R-09-26 to authorize the purchase and the board recorded unanimous approval.
