Hubbardston appoints Memorial Day Committee members; building commissioner begins

Speaker 4 reported that Bob Garside has officially begun as the town's building commissioner and has started handling permits and enforcement matters. "He's an experienced building commissioner," Speaker 4 said, and the town plans to issue an RFP to secure multi-year inspection and building commissioner services.
On executive assistant hiring, Speaker 2 said multiple candidates have been interviewed and that the board added an accounting element to the job description.
