Committee approves bid awards and moves several funding agreements to executive committee

Award of bids received Feb. 6, 2026: Dean Friel moved the motion to award the bids; Chris Norberg seconded. The chair called for a voice vote and the motion carried. Dave Anderson said complete bid tabs are available on the county website for line-item review.
Lee Center Road: Committee members moved two items concerning the Lee Center Road project to the executive committee for inclusion on the February county board agenda. A motion to move the joint funding agreement was moved by Ron Gascoyne and seconded by Dean Friel; a second motion to move a matching funds appropriation resolution (which includes a $100,000 county placeholder match if needed) was moved by Dean Friel and seconded by Ron Gascoyne. Both motions carried with no discussion.
Indian Head Bridge: The committee moved the Indian Head Bridge joint funding agreement and a corresponding matching funds appropriation resolution to the executive committee, moved by Dean Friel and seconded by Ron Gascoyne; both motions carried by voice vote. Dave Anderson described the Indian Head project as an approximate $700,000 project with an 80/20 federal-local split (approximately $560,000 federal, $140,000 local).
Planning petitions: Two planning items were also moved to the executive committee. Petition 26PC84 (a text amendment to allow accessory dwelling units in certain districts with a 1-acre minimum recommended by the planning commission) and petition 26PC85 (the estate of Richard Fluck’s request related to Coyote Corner Phase 2) were each moved by Dean Friel and seconded by Ron Gascoyne and carried by voice vote.
What this means: The motions approved by the committee authorize staff to advance each item to the executive committee and, if placed on the county board agenda, to be considered by the full board. The bid award motion authorizes procurement actions subject to applicable concurrence and reviews.
