The Village of Weston Plan Commission voted Feb. 9 to recommend approval of the preliminary plat for Hinter Springs Second Edition (Project 20260017), submitted by Timber Ridge Builders and Riverside Land Surveying.
Staff said the proposal creates 13 residential lots by replacing previously planned multifamily sites—two fourplex sites and a larger apartment parcel—with twin-home lots and seven single-family home lots, and extends Green Pastures Lane East to the property line for future connectivity. “Based on the information submitted to date, staff recommends the planning commission forward a recommendation of approval to the village board subject to the conditions listed in the report,” staff said.
The staff report noted preliminary engineering plans are under review by the director of public works and that a development agreement and approved construction plans will be required prior to final plat approval. A commenter identified as Keith Locusti addressed garage size and parking, saying the revised plan provides full-size two-car garages for twin homes and larger garages for single-family lots.
The commission moved to recommend approval with conditions (motion by Jordan; seconded by Zagami) and approved the recommendation by voice vote.
