The Suamico Village Board voted Jan. 5 to accept Sheedy Farms Fourth Edition development and its roadways and to allow release of building permits once remaining punch-list items are completed.
Director Smiths summarized staff inspections and said the roadway construction includes the extension of Evelyn Rose Lane, Sweetgrass Court and Harold's Way. He said the village will require shouldering, a few spot asphalt repairs, 70% vegetation cover before releasing the developer's financial guarantee, and that a one-year warranty will cover the improvements.
"Staff has been inspecting the project as it has been constructed and working with the developers to make sure all aspects are being met," Director Smiths said, adding that the acceptance is contingent on the outstanding shoulder work and spot repairs and that contractors have been paid for authorized work.
Trustee Romas moved to accept the Sheedy Farms Fourth Edition development as it currently stands and to release building permits subject to completion of the listed items; Trustee Neto seconded. The board approved the motion by roll call, 7-0.
The acceptance allows the building department to issue permits while the developer completes the final punch list; the village retains the developer's financial guarantee until 70% vegetation cover is achieved and warranty obligations are met.
