Johnson County Board approves consent agenda, site plan, resurfacing bid schedule and $255,475 GIS contract

Remington moved approval of the consent agenda and Fixmore Rice seconded; the roll call recorded ayes from Sullivan, Fixmore Rice, Remington and Green Douglas and the motion carried.
The board then approved a resolution associated with site-plan application "SP 25 3" submitted on behalf of Belvedere Incorporated for Lot 1 of Commerce Court Addition (near 120th Street NE and I-380). Sullivan moved approval and Remington seconded; the motion passed by roll call.
The board reaffirmed the appointment of the medical examiner and deputy medical examiner after a motion moved by Fixmoor Reis and seconded by Remington carried by roll call.
On Item 3 the board authorized the County Auditor to publish notice to bidders for hot-mix asphalt resurfacing for a segment described in the packet and set the bid letting date for Feb. 24, 2026 at 9 a.m.; Remington moved approval, Sullivan seconded, and the motion passed.
The board approved a small government enterprise agreement with Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) for geographic information systems software in the amount of $255,475; Fixmer Rice moved the contract approval and Sullivan seconded.
Finally, the board deferred consideration of hiring two Workday specialist positions until job descriptions are finalized and staff can present the item.
All votes recorded during these agenda items were roll-call votes and showed unanimous support among members present for the listed approvals; one supervisor (Green) was noted absent during roll call.
