The board approved a new employee parking map designed to assign spots to department heads and improve access for overnight 911 staff. Committee members said no assigned spot would be removed from anyone who currently has one and that the supervisors' spots would be moved to the Public Health lot (spaces 4–9).
Dixie Wilson, accounting technician in the auditor's office, and parking committee representatives explained the map and noted a state court employee who previously held a North Lot spot would be reduced to three administrative spots. The committee also proposed removing most reserved signs at the Elections Building lot except one space and adding two vendor drop-off spaces. The plan is to implement the new map on Feb. 16 and paint reserved spots when weather allows.
A motion to approve the parking plan passed by voice vote; the committee will send notice to affected employees.
