The Renton City Council concurred with the Finance Committee’s recommendations for multiple items reported tonight, including accounts-payable vouchers totaling $7,395,901.44, payroll vouchers totaling $2,186,590.24, and municipal court vouchers of $31,207.50 for the January pay period.
The committee also recommended the municipal court accept $10,000 in additional funding (described in the meeting as 'Blake' funding) from the Administrative Office of the Courts via an interagency agreement amendment; the council concurred.
Finally, the finance committee recommended awarding a contract for Legacy Square phase 3 playground equipment to Northwest Playground Equipment, Inc. for $275,407.76. Staff told the council that the project is funded through the municipal facilities capital improvement fund and that sufficient funds were available within the project's capital improvement budget to cover fabrication and construction costs for phase 3.
Council members approved the committee reports by voice vote. The finance-related items were presented as committee concurrence motions rather than standalone ordinance readings; full contract documents and grant amendments are part of the committee report packet.
