Overton County board approves consent agenda, adopts two TSBA second-reading policies and opens first readings of others

The Overton County School Board on Jan. 14 approved routine business including minutes from Dec. 10, 2024, and a multi-item consent agenda, and adopted two policies on second reading recommended by the Tennessee School Boards Association.
A motion by Rick Dodson, seconded by Ashley Clark, approved the meeting agenda by voice vote. The consent agenda — which included a revision to IDEA Part B (01/2025), a HQIM literacy implementation network revision, and quarterly reports — was moved by Shirley Myers and seconded by Ashley Card and carried by voice vote.
