The Mesa City Council took several procedural actions during its Feb. 9 study session.
Appointments to various boards and committees (Item 2b) were moved and seconded and approved by unanimous voice vote. The meeting record shows the chair called for a motion and "All in favor, say aye," with the assembly responding in the affirmative.
Acknowledgement of received board minutes (Item 3) was also moved, seconded and approved unanimously.
On the consent agenda, a council member requested that item 8a (adopting titles and schedules of rates and fees for nonresidential water utility services) be removed from consent to be considered separately; the chair took 8a off consent as requested.
Council also agreed to continue the Sun Devil Auto site modification (Item 6a) at the applicant's request so the applicant may return with a plan for the entire parcel; staff recommended a continuance to a date not certain so discussions can proceed and the item can remain on consent until pulled.
The study session adjourned by unanimous voice vote and the regular council meeting was scheduled to follow upstairs.
