The Holiday City Planning Commission continued its public hearing on an outdoor lighting text amendment Feb. 18 after an extended discussion of scope, enforceability and technical details.
Staff described the draft ordinance as adding residential lighting standards (new section 1384050) to address light trespass, lumens, fixture heights and color temperature. "There are some elements in here that the planning commission could use... we've updated some terminology and provide additional guidance for parking light pole heights and how far a parking lot light standard should be from a residential property line," staff said.
