The Holiday City Planning Commission unanimously approved a subdivision plat amendment Feb. 18 to transfer a 0.09‑acre easement parcel from Red Hollow Subdivision into Boothorpe (Boathorpe) Subdivision at 4794 South Anabo Circle.
City planner staff explained the parcel contains a storm‑drain easement and is not buildable as a standalone lot. The amendment changes subdivision boundaries so parcel and parcel numbers align with ownership; staff and the Technical Review Committee found required submittals acceptable, including fire access and utility easements.
Applicant Carolyn Colton said the intent is to consolidate parcels and ultimately rebuild a new house, explaining that the administrative lot‑line approach was complicated because the separate pieces are currently listed in different subdivisions. "The plan is... to make it 1 parcel," she said, adding the owner expects to merge the smaller parcel with the larger lot after the subdivision amendments are recorded.
Motion and vote Commissioner Cunningham moved to approve the subdivision amendment application by Carolyn Colton to remove Parcel 22‑10‑229‑077 from Red Hollow Subdivision and add it to Boothorpe Subdivision (R‑110 zone), subject to TRC findings; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
What happens next The approved amendment will be recorded with the county; the applicant may later pursue administrative lot consolidation and building permits for demolition and new construction as needed.
