The Shelbyville City Council on Feb. 3 approved a right-of-way easement for Duck River Electric Corporation covering 30.35 acres at 2764 Highway 231 North, a parcel identified as part of the airport/MTSU project area.
Staff explained the easement is required for Duck River Electric to do necessary work for the MTSU aerospace facility. Ginger (staff who reviewed the document) told the council the easement ‘‘looks to be in line’’ and called it ‘‘standard.’’ The council approved the easement and authorized the mayor to sign.
The motion and second were followed by a roll-call vote; Turnbaugh, Blevins, Christie, Noel, Ewing and Bellhouse each voted yes. Council documentation indicates the easement is intended to facilitate utility work connected to the MTSU project.
