The Anacortes City Council confirmed Logan Lee as the city’s permanent public works director at its Feb. 9 meeting and authorized Mayor Ryan Walters to sign the employment contract (26085HRD001).
HR Director Kendall Moyle introduced Lee’s appointment, saying Lee has served as the city engineer for the past two years and had been the interim public works director. Moyle said Lee holds a B.S. in civil engineering from Washington State University and has more than 10 years’ municipal infrastructure experience. Councilmember Moulton publicly endorsed Lee, noting she had worked with him on the public works committee and praised his communication and staff leadership.
Councilmember Fantini moved to confirm Mayor Walters’ appointment of Logan Lee as public works director effective Feb. 9, 2026; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
Quote: “He’s very knowledgeable, a really good communicator, very solid, very thoughtful,” Councilmember Moulton said when offering her endorsement.
