Bonner County accepted a reduction in the 2022 SHSP grant award from $72,183.32 to $67,359.84, and the board approved FY26 claims batch 19 ($309,503.82) and demands batch 19 ($105,160.29).
The Bonner County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 10 accepted a grant adjustment from the Idaho Office of Emergency Management that reduces the 2022 State Homeland Security Program (SHSP) award (22 SHSP017) from $72,183.32 to $67,359.84 because not all originally allocated funds were used. "This has been reviewed by Auditing Risk and Legal," said Cameron Lacombe of Bonner County Emergency Management. Staff do not expect changes to any county match; Lacombe said unused funds are often swept and later redistributed by the state to other preparedness programs.
The board also approved routine finance items during the meeting: a motion passed to pay FY26 claims in batch 19 totaling $309,503.82 (highlights included technology software ~ $10,000; utilities ~ $23,000; Road & Bridge ~$68,000 including about $30,000 in fuel; airport ~$18,800; solid waste ~$51,000). The board approved demand batch 19 totaling $105,160.29 (Regence/Blue Shield demand). All financial approvals were adopted by roll call vote.
Clerk Mike Rosedale presented the claims and demand details and noted the board’s direction to keep transparency on line items. Board members asked routine questions about budgets and audits during the discussion; no additional fiscal actions were taken beyond the approvals noted.
